Newcastle United v Spurs: 25/1 Price Boost on Tottenham from Paddy Power
The last time these teams met, Newcastle handed a devastating defeat to Spurs at the very end of the 2015/16 season. That 5-1 win was the Magpies’ last game in the Premier League before relegation but they’re back and will obviously be hoping for a similar outcome on Sunday.
The bookmakers aren’t expecting it to happen however and Spurs will go into this game as odds on favourites at a best of 7/10 with bet365 and William Hill but, if you want to improve that figure, Paddy Power have a new customer enhanced odds promo that increases the numbers to 25/1.
If you don’t already hold an account here then you are free to sign up with Paddy Power via the link and register your details. This should take no more than a couple of minutes and once that basic information has been entered, you will be taken to the cashier.
Here you should deposit a minimum of £5.00 via a debit or credit card and then stake the fixed amount of £1.00 on Spurs to beat Newcastle at St James’s Park on Sunday August 13, 2017. If that bet lands and Tottenham take the three points, here’s how you will be paid.
Profits at the standard book price – currently 4/6 with Paddy Power – will come back into your new account as cash while the balance, up to that enhanced figure of 25/1, arrives as free bet tokens. Those are the significant terms but do check all terms and conditions of this offer, including those that relate to Paddy Power free bets.
Team to watch
Spurs have hit the headlines for their lack of signings this summer while their rivals have all spent heavily as they look to strengthen their respective squads. Spurs fans have mixed feelings about this as they would obviously like to see new faces but with most of last season’s successful side remaining at the club, there is the feeling that no recruits are necessary.
Over at Newcastle, Rafa Benitez steered the club back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and has suggested that he isn’t completely happy with the summer transfer business at St James’s Park. The Magpies look a much better side than the one that dropped into the Championship two seasons ago, however, and will certainly provide a tough test for the visitors on Sunday.
If Spurs can continue their form from last season then they will be worthy favourites here. This may not be one of the more certain new customer promos this weekend but there is excellent value in that 25/1 price and if you were looking to back Tottenham as a new customer to Paddy Power, it could give a healthy boost to any potential profits.
