Enhanced Title Odds and Top Goal Scorer for Manchester United with Paddy Power
There will be plenty of attention focused on Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United when the new Premier League season kicks off on Friday August 11. They may have won three trophies in 2016/17 but the Red Devils’ supporters will not be satisfied unless the club are challenging for the title once again and a sixth placed finish was not an impressive one last time out.
Having spent heavily again in the summer, Manchester United are third favourites to lift the Premier League trophy next May with Winner Sports and BetBright among a number of bookies offering odds of 10/3.
Paddy Power are also offering 10/3 on their standard books but, as one of two season long, new customer offers, that figure could go all the way up to 60/1. The other offer for new account holders quotes a massive 75/1 on Romelu Lukaku to finish the season as the Premier League’s top goalscorer. So, if either of those deals sounds interesting, here’s what you need to do next.
Remember, this is for new customers to Paddy Power so, if you don’t already hold an account here, head across via the link and register with some basic information. Once complete, Paddy should take you to their cashier where you must deposit at least £5.00 via a debit or credit card.
With funds at the ready, make your choice between these two offers. You can either back Manchester United to win the Premier League title in 2017/18 or, you can pick Romelu Lukaku to finish as the PL top goal scorer.
Make that choice before 19:45 UK time on Friday August 11, stake a maximum of £1.00 on the outcome and then sit back to watch the new season unfold. If, at the end of the campaign you are a winner, Paddy Power will pay you in two steps.
Returns at whichever book price is applicable – currently 10/3 for the title and 4/1 on Lukaku to be top scorer – will be returned to you as cash and you can carry on playing. The additional profit, up to the price boost quoted, will come back to you as free bet tokens.
Please check all the terms and conditions of these deals and also take a look at Paddy Power’s rules on free bet tokens.
Which Way to Go
Both of these bets, while not being favourites in the open markets, have good chances of landing so which one should you back?
In 2016/17, United had one of the tightest defences in the league but their problems came up front with a lack of goals. Top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic had to be released from his contract due to injury but the arrival of Lukaku should certainly help their chances of landing the title at the end of the campaign.
Mourinho’s men are third favourites behind Manchester City at best odds of 19/10 with 10Bet and Chelsea at a top price of 7/2 with bet365 and Winner Sports. But, with Lukaku having reinforced the attack, United may be good value in the outright title betting.
As for Lukaku and the Golden Boot trophy, the Belgian striker looked a certainty to land the award in 2016/17 before an incredible late surge from Harry Kane snatched it in the final two games. The former Everton man still recorded 26 goals for the Toffees and he is second favourite in the 2017/18 markets at 4/1 with most bookies including William Hill and Stan James.
Kane starts as favourite again at best odds of 3/1 with bet365 and Betway while the Manchester City pair of Sergio Aguero at 7/1 with bet365 and Gabriel Jesus at 9/1 with Coral may be worth a look.
Both of these offers could therefore stand a strong chance at the end of the campaign and, if you were looking to punt on either United for the title or Romelu Lukaku as the leading goal scorer, these two new customer offers from Paddy Power are clearly worth looking into.
