BetSid Bookmaker Review
*Please note that the BetSid site was suspended, and bettors are no longer able to access the site. Please choose another bookmaker review to enjoy a comfortable betting experience.
In just a few short years, BetSid have grown from a one-man betting operation, working out of a catering van at Blackpool Football Club, into a successful online bookmaker. The business began in 2013 and quickly progressed to build several physical betting shops before hitting the ‘net in 2017.
They are a new sportsbook with plenty to enjoy so let’s get straight on and see what you can look forward to.
Sports Markets / Odds
If one word could be used to sum up the list of available markets at BetSid it would be ‘traditional’. There are no eSports at present and very few novelty markets – just a list of the most popular sports for bettors and it reads as follows:
American Football, Aussie Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Football, GAA Sports, Golf, Greyhounds, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, Motorsport, Pool, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Tennis and Volleyball.
As you’ll have seen, only the most obscure niches are absent from that list. There are people who like to bet on chess, bowls and water polo but if you are one of the many that don’t, you’ll be covered by this extensive list.
In terms of value, it’s too early for BetSid to be picked up by the main odds comparison sites right now but having checked a sample of bets, they are set to be competitive, particularly in the core areas of football, horse racing, tennis and more. Regular price boosts are available to add to that value so this is a strong section all round.
Like a number of new bookmakers these days, BetSid have started life by accepting solely debit and credit cards. By taking plastic, it allows most of us to get on board but for flexibility and to increase their own customer base, it would be useful to have some eWallets, particularly Skrill and Neteller, added in the near future.
For now, transactions are instant and free so it’s still a positive end to this section of the review.
The help facility at BetSid has been proved to be fast and effective which is obviously good news but this is another area that we would like to see expanded in the near future. You can access these facilities by clicking on the Contact Us button which suggests there should be a web form but in fact, there is simply a link to an email address.
Most punters would like to see some Frequently Asked Questions added soon, followed by a live chat operator in due course but what’s here is quick, friendly and effective.
BetSid are a bookmaker who are committed to the UK market with betting shops and sports sponsorships in place in the North West of England but for those in mainland Europe and beyond, there are lots of reasons to consider a sign up too.
Aside from a welcome deal, the prices here are very strong so there is value in the account all the way through. Odds look to be competitive at this early stage and there are those regular price boosts present to give them an additional lift.
Elsewhere, while we have seen more extensive lists of available markets there is everything here bar the most obscure niches. The funding options are just a minor issue in comparison so, if you can get on board with a debit or credit card, there’s plenty to enjoy as a new BetSid customer.
