When 21Bet launched in March 2016, the new bookmaker promised a no-nonsense, simplistic approach to betting. Spokesman Rob Lawson said at the time that the operator was looking to provide a fun alternative to the big boys without any gimmicks and there is certainly a straightforward approach to the site and how it conducts its business.
But to earn new customers you need to offer a little more and it all starts here with a welcome bonus and some interesting ongoing promotions.
21Bet Bonus Review
|Free Bet:||£ 10||Claim||Show Details|
|Place at least 5 bets of a minimum of £10 in stake at Evens (2.0) or greater within the first seven days of registration and at the end of the seven days we’ll go ahead and credit you with a £10 free bet. Thereafter for every consecutive rolling seven day period that you place 10 bets or more of a mimimum of £10 in stake at Evens (2.0) or greater we’ll go ahead and credit you with another free bet.|
The welcome deal at 21Bet is an innovative one and it could prove to be very generous but for a bookie promising a non-nonsense approach, it is a little complicated. Essentially you can earn a £10.00 free bet every week for the life of your account so potentially, that’s £520.00 a year that can be claimed in 52 separate freebies.
However, when you fail to meet the terms in any given week, the promotion is lost for ever. The initial qualification is 5 x £10.00 bets at minimum odds of 2.00 or higher but after that first week, you have to place 10 bets in every rolling 7 day period.
So, it can be lucrative if you stick to those terms and there are additional promotions to enjoy here including an Acca Insurance offer and a money back deal on Premier League and La Liga football.
All of the popular sporting markets are here and although you may find a wider selection elsewhere, all major events are covered so unless you are interested in really ‘niche’ sports, you’ll be fine here. This is 21Bet’s current list.
American Football, Australian Rules Football, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Football, GAA, Golf, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, Motor Sports, Pool, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Tennis and Volleyball.
In addition, there is a growing list of eSports and Specials Markets so there is plenty to search through. 21Bet don’t appear on the main comparison sites as yet but they offer a best odds guarantee on UK and Irish horse racing and in general, their prices give good value right across the board.
This is a section in our bookmaker review which will need improving as, at the time of writing, there are no eWallet providers listed here. You can fund via all major debit and credit cards which we all have access to but to increase their customer base, it would be good to see 21Bet expand their list to include the likes of Skrill and Neteller.
Once again, 21Bet may need to work on their customer service options as the months roll by as at present, there is just an email displayed via their ‘Contact Us’ button. Service has proved to be quick and friendly but more options are needed.
21Bet are getting a lot right as they start out on their journey and in less than six months, they have established one of the better sets of ongoing promotions. The welcome bonus is quite complicated but if you wager a considerable sum each week then this can be lucrative.
Elsewhere, certain aspects look to represent a ‘Work in Progress’ with limited funding and customer service options but this may well pick up and at present, you still have many reasons to consider a sign up.
- Welcome bonus can provide a £10.00 free bet for the life of your account
- Good selection of ongoing promotions including a generous Acca Insurance deal
- Competitive prices including Best Odds Guarantee on UK and Irish Horse Racing
- Opening bonus can be a little complicated and requires a considerable outlay in order to maintain it
- Very restricted choice of funding options
