This more than doubles the £10.00 that is their standard published opener and it makes them very competitive in the current market.

Genting are primarily known for their online and physical casinos but their sportsbook holds plenty of value so it was time to check them out.

Registration

Like most bookies these days, registration is a very easy process and I was asked to provide some very basic details via the following form.

You will note that the required Promo Code – CORNER25 – is already there which was very useful but be sure to check this point before you proceed. Overall, this is a very easy form to fill in and only the basic details are needed.

There was one minor glitch and that came in the final step. At the very bottom of the registration page there is a ‘Captcha Form’ where I had to click in the ‘I am not a Robot’ box. I did this but the screen froze for a considerable time. After a few minutes, I saw a message saying there was a problem and it took me to this graphic.

It was an odd part of the process but this second stage of verification did work and my account was then confirmed.

At this stage, many bookmakers will automatically take you to a page that asks if you want to make a deposit. This didn’t happen with GentingBet so I had to hunt on the home page for this option.

Funding

At the funding stage of the process, I was only given two possible options – either a debit card or alternatively Skrill. I wanted to be sure of earning the deposit and while I like the flexibility of e-wallets, I chose the debit card on this occasion.

Having been asked all the standard questions, I asked for £25 to be transferred in order to maximise the enhanced bonus and this was credited to my account instantly. Although it would have been nice to have been taken to this page straight after registration, it was a very quick procedure and now I was ready to place my qualifying bet.

Placing a Bet

GentingBet’s home page takes you to their football markets as their first port of call. It’s the most popular sport from a betting point of view and many bookmakers follow the same practise.

After football, every other sport is laid out in A to Z order on the left hand side of the home page so your chosen market should be very easy to find. I was looking to bet on a weekend football match between Manchester United and Arsenal and after clicking the football link, it took me to the games which were laid out in a logical order. Remember that your qualify bet for the bonus has to be at odds of Even Money or higher.

The next part of the process was very standard – click on your selection and this opened the bet slip.

Having hit the Bet Now button, I then got the bet confirmation.

Bonus Funds

GentingBet promise that the Bonus funds will appear in your account within 24 hours of that opening bet being settled. The above game finished at around 16:00 UK time and my funds appeared before 10:00 the following day so this was well within the 24 hour limit.

With the bonus in my account, I used the deposit straight away.

The important point to remember here is that the odds for the bonus bet must not exceed 4/1. Once again, the bet was quick and easy to place.

Support

Shortly after opening my account I received an e-mail asking me to verify my identity. As we all know, this is not uncommon amongst bookmakers and I keep a copy of my passport on my PC in order to do this quickly.

The issue here was that the instructions were not clear. I was told to follow a verification link but it took me to this page – the main support section at GentingBet.

This was a little annoying but it did at least give me the chance to test out their customer service. I clicked on the Live Chat button and the following window appeared.

The operator was with me inside 30 seconds so this was definitely fast. I explained the problem and was told to send my passport picture file to the general support e-mail. 48 hours after doing that, I am yet to receive confirmation that I’ve been verified and accepted.

Conclusion

The good news with GentingBet is that the enhanced £25 welcome bonus is very easy to claim and the operator had this in my account in the timescale promised. As a new customer, their odds look competitive and there are certainly plenty of markets to get involved with.

The site isn’t always easy to navigate and the verification side of the process was confusing. However, that will hopefully be out of the way and this looks to be a sound addition to my betting list.
